Come join us as we celebrate the centenary of Vaughan Williams’s “A Sea Symphony”, as well as other works.

First performed 100 years ago, when it was conducted by the composer himself, Vaughan Williams’s “A Sea Symphony” has you whirling in the waves one moment, and in the next contemplating the universe from an empty beach at night. He beautifully brings to life Walt Whitman’s texts with his adventurous, moving style.

The oceanic theme is continued with a selection of Australian folk songs and sea shanties arranged by Melbourne composer Dennis Vaughan, as well as a medley of popular songs from Walt Disney’s hit movie “A Little Mermaid”.

This is a varied, colourful and accessible programme to entertain everyone from the first-time concert-goer to the seasoned music lover.

MonUCS has a new website!

This new site allows committee members to easily update the site with new happenings within the choir. There is even an Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feed so you can keep up to date with MonUCS.

It will need a bit of work over the next couple of days to tie up loose ends, but it is finally here. Over the next few months, we will be rolling out additional functionality as they become ready so keep your eyes peeled! Inevitably, there will be issues, so please let the Webmaster know using this form.
